Neil Armstrong’s words “One small step – one giant leap for mankind” came alive, with the foundation of S R M S Trust, for since its conception in 1990, Trust has primarily taken initiative for the benefit of the society. S R M S Trust, a public charitable Trust, established in the year 1990, is a living to the memory of veteran freedom fighter, true Gandhi an, ex-parliamentarian, ex-minister U. P., Late Shri Ram Murti Ji. The primary objective of the Trust is to provide and promote education and research in the Engineering & Technology, Medicine, Humanities, Science and Management.

The aim of S R M S Trust is the upliftment of the mosses: 

• By promoting social value – social services.
• By promoting technical and professional education : SRMS CET
• By promoting Health & Medical Education : SRMS IMS

Scholarship

From its inception the Trust took up the responsibility of adopting deserving children from the economically weaker section and sponsored their education, Engineering, B. Pharma, MCA & MBA, Post Graduate, Under graduate and Intermediate level students are covered under this scheme.

Debate & Story Writing

SRMS Trust is devoted to the cause of promotion of talent for which it holds each year Debate Competition covering the burning issue of the society.

Since 1995, Trust organizes National level Story Writing Competition every year to promote creativity and literary pursuits. The collection of the awarded short stories “Kaliyug Ki Yashodhara” was published and its second volume is to be released.

Ram Murti Pratibha Alankaran

Since 1993, the Trust annually, honors with Ram Murti Pratibha Alankaran Award, three eminent personalities, who have made the nation proud with their achievements, some of the people honored so far are : Prof. M.S. Soda (Ex-Vice Chancellor, Lucknow University), Dr. J.C. Bass (Eye Surgon, Bareilly), Prof. Wasim Barelvi(Urdu Poet), Dr. Nawal Kishore(Gynecologist), Shri K.P. Saxena (Poet), Col. Suresh Joshi, (Eminent Army Personnel), Shri Sudhanshu ji Maharaj(Preacher & Social Reformer), Ms. Priyanka Chopra (Miss World)etc.

Free Medical Services

The Trust organizes three rural medical campus every month in which it provides free medical consultancy, diagnostic services and medicines to the poor and needy people. Eye Camps are organized monthly, in which, Cataract Surgery is performed and medical facilities are provided free of cost. To promote awareness about mother and childcare, the Trust organizes various camps in rural and urban areas on a weekly basis in association with state government agencies.

Kalol

Whom society has discarded, the Trust adopts at its own. The Trust has pledged to adopt orphans and abandoned children under its Kalol programme.

Promotion of Technical & Professional Education Engineering & Management College

Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engg. and Tech., is among the first three Institutions to be established under the self-financing scheme in Uttar Pradesh in the year 1995, spread over an area of 35 acres of land, at 13 km. stone on the Bareilly- Nanital Road, Bareilly. 1^st December 1995, was the auspicious day, on which the foundation of this premier Institution was laid by Shri, N.D. Tiwari, Ex-Chief Minister Uttar Pradesh.

Hospital

29^th Jan, 2001, was the auspicious day on which the founder of Trust Smt. Ram Rakhhi Devi laid down the foundation of Ultra modern 500 bed, centrally air-conditioned, Multi Super Specialty Tertiary Care Center having highly qualified doctors and with state-of-art equipment. It is spread over 25 acres of land, situated on 13.2 km. Bareilly-Nainital road. The Hospital commenced its world class services on 4^th July 2002, and it caters to the medical needs of almost 30 million people within of 250 kms (150 miles) reaching up to Nepal.
