Tech, B. Pharmacy, M. C .A. and M. B. A. and they are required to pursue them in each year of the degree programme duration as indicated below:
ORACLE WDP
T&P cell of college is conducting carrier oriented programme in collaboration
with ORACLE India Pvt. Ltd., Banglore. The WDP (Work Force Development Programme)
of ORACLE will be beneficial for students carrier prospective. The programme is
of 6 module each of 40 Hr. duration. All enrolled students will be certified
from ORACLE India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore.
INFOSYS CAMPUS CONNECT PROGRAMME
In this programme of INFOSYS the company suggested 9 Information Technology
related modules to be taught to the students in addition to the course
curriculum of the UPTU. This is required to produce industry ready students.
These 9 modules are given as follows:
Computer Hardware and System Software concepts.
Programming Fundamentals (With Course Projects).
Relational Database Management Systems.
Analysis of Algorithms.
System Development methodology.
Object Oriented Concepts.
User Interface Design.
Introduction to Web Technologies.
Introduction to Client-Server Concepts.
All the above 9 modules for the IT and Non-IT students. By teaching these modules is significant increase in the knowledge of IT subject have been noticed in the Non-IT students as per the requirements of the industries.
B. Tech
A specially designed curriculum is framed for B. Tech. I year students of all
branches to ensure a gradual enhancement and grooming of the students so that
they adapted to the new system with case. Sessions on English Language and soft
skills are introduced from the very first year as they play the vital role for
professional success. Soft skills are also known as 'employment skills' as they
help an individual to excel in the work place and the importance of soft skills
cannot be denied in this age of information and knowledge. The goal of oft
skills training is to give students opportunity to learn and practice new
patterns of behavior and to enhance human relations. The soft skills training
include effective communications, creativity, analytical thinking, diplomacy,
flexibility, building and listening skills. Seminars on subject oriented themes
are introduced so as to clarify the concepts of the students in various
disciplines. Sessions on C programming are also held to provide a strong
foundation to the students, as it is a standardized programming language for use
on the UNIX and other operating systems. It is one of the most widely used
programming language.
Value addition courses are introduced for all II year B. Tech. students to
create awareness among them of the technical skills and latest programes, which
are not incorporated in the academic curriculum. The value addition course will
provide useful inputs to the students regarding the practical aspects of
engineering. For this purpose annual project on computer-aided design, design of
electrical apparatus, control of electrical apparatus, microprocessors have been
specifically designed for the students of the respective branches. Soft skills
and subjects seminars are continued in the II year to further enhance the
knowledge and personality of the students. Special value addition courses are
designed specially for the diploma holder students taking admission directly in
the II year. The course includes C programming, session on Mathematics, English
Language, soft skills, Subject Seminar annual project on computer-aided design,
circuit design, design of electrical apparatus, control of electrical apparatus,
microprocessors.
Exclusive value addition courses are designed for all III year B. Tech.
students, which provide training grounds for budding Engineers and making them
competent enough to match with the requisites of the industries. Annual
projects, subject seminars, I. C. Engine, Refrigeration, CAD and CAM, V S D L,
campus connect programme. the college is also trying to incorporate latest
courses like SAP. Students are also trained to enhance human skills, i.e..
interpersonal and conceptual skills.
B.Pharm.
For the year Pharmacy students subject seminars are organized to clarify their
concepts of the various new disciplines, which they are studying. Sessions on
English language are also organized for the I year students. For all the second
year Pharmacy students annual projects, clinical exposures in the medical
college, subject seminars and courses, which would enhance their general
awareness of computers, are organized. For all the II year students herbal
projects and assigned and are asked to do the analysis of projects, in order to
give them an in-depth insight on the subjects and their practical aspects.
Regular subject seminars and sessions on GATE examinations are also organized to
make them well prepared for the competitive examination. For the IV year
students exclusive sessions for preparation for GATE examination and placement
are organized.
M. C. A.
For the MCA I year students emphasis is laid on subject seminar, C language and
programming and effective communication, technical skills enhancement and
proficiency in English language. For the budding software professionals of MCA
II year supreme emphasis is laid on soft skills, technical skills, human skills
and annual projects just to give them a competitive edge.
M.B.A.
For the management students the programme is designed so as to enhance their
analytical skills, decision making skills and human skills. for this purpose
special attention is given in imparting soft skills, English language and
general computer awareness among the students, so that in the highly competitive
corporate world the students are able to create a niche for themselves among a
milieu of several routine job seekers with mediocre skills and talents. Subject
seminar, instant assignments, problem solving sessions, field survey etc. are to
be undertaken by the students in order to support their textual knowledge with
empirical studies. It also helps them to develop an aptitude for teamwork and
co-operation.
